Minimum Job Requirements and Minimum Education

  • Possess a valid driver’s license with a safe driving history
  • Must be able to operate a manual transmission vehicle to determine if operating properly
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certification from a vocational school or completion of an apprenticeship is preferred.
  • Ability to pass a background investigation.
  • Authorized to work in the USA
  • Repetitive lifting, occasionally up to 90 pounds

Key Competencies

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.)
  • Responsible for the efficient diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of vehicles.
  • Provide customers with friendly, honest, and dependable service.
  • Perform tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle various hand tools and heavy equipment (e.g., lifting)
  • Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protection against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals, etc.
  • Valid certification (e.g., ASE) is a definite plus.
  • Automotive and engine repair experience or auto mechanic training preferred.
  • Alignment experience preferred, but we will train the right person.

Automotive Technician Requirements:

  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance.
  • Must read, interpret, and transcribe data to maintain accurate records.
  • Must be a self-starter and can complete tasks on time with limited supervision.
  • Must provide own hand tools & toolbox.

Job Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computer/ tablet.
  • Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on light and medium-duty vehicles.
  • Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures.
  • Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance.
  • Interact with clients through both text and phone if necessary.
  • Provide recommendations, explain automotive repairs and issues, and provide great customer service.
  • Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts, etc.), aiming to improve vehicle functionality and longevity.
  • Maintain equipment and tools in good condition.
  • Identify problems with vehicles using diagnostic equipment.
  • Test the functionality of parts and systems.
  • Prepared to get additional certification as needed.
  • Willingness to learn with hands-on training.
  • Produce legible and accurate paperwork reflecting work performed.
  • Help keep the repair shop safe, clean, and organized.
  • Keep a professional appearance.
  • Perform other duties as required.

  • Work hours are Monday-Friday, 8 AM-6 PM with a one-hour lunch break each day.
  • Paid holidays and vacation after the Probationary period.
  • Starting salary will depend on experience, knowledge, and ability. Monthly Re-Evaluations of Skills and Development during the 6-month probationary period.
